It was great to see members helping each other on Saturday morning down at the club .Although it wasn’t an official boat shift all it took was a message and a great response from the members to help get Stuart’s boat in the water ready for the Season Opening on 11th February 2026 .Well done to all the members who turned out this morning .

A quick reminder that a week today Saturday 14th February 2026 we will be having our Annual Opening Saturday of the Season Event. Please try and support the club and join in the fun day .

If members can meet around 8:30 there will be hot rolls and drinks available thanks to Angie ,Ann and Des .We will gather at the club and have the anglers parade to the jetty lead by a piper where we will get Leigh Hamilton from the LLPA to perform the traditional blessing of a boat and the river and officially open the 2026 season at the VOLDAC .The club will open at 14:00 hrs in the afternoon where there will be hot home made lentil soup ,and crusty bread available for the retuning anglers and members and friends .Music will be played with the karaoke being available if members wish to have a we sing song .

Looking forward to seeing everyone and wishing you all tight lines for the 2026 Season ,please remember the full Loch Lomond system is Catch and release and all Salmon must be returned ,please handle all fish carefully and try and keep in the net in the water when unhooking or use a mat keeping the fish wet .
